Whichway, Postaday, FOTD

Today I’m combining 3 challenges. I have had 2 days off which is quite rare so have done some major hiking in my area. Yesterday’s hike was from the same car park as last week but went off in another direction. Today I did a completely different route. The mountain paths are perfect for Sonofabeach96 which way challenge. The flowers have been amazing so fits Cee’s FOTD challenge and some flowers had beautiful shades of pink, just right for Nancy Merrill’s Postaday. The first picture is a path right along a ridge hiked yesterday and the second picture is todays hike that passed through a little hamlet called Chalet de Lens. We are quite fortunate to have many water troughs around the area to fill up the camel packs. πŸ˜‰

The flowers as you can see are just sensational at the moment. Fields of flowers. I call them God’s carpets. These are the pink ones for Nancy Merrill’s Shades of Pink. There were butterflies everywhere.

I walked passed 2 lakes today; lac Plagne and Lac Tavaneuse. One is lower down with some houses. The other is an Alpine lake surrounded by flowers.

      1. Hah, the little devils do have a habit of flying off just when you’ve finally focused on one! Though your butterflies against the pink flowers look perfect.
